Audit
Integration and data-flow audit
Field applications rarely live alone. They take customers from a billing system, push parts to finance, and receive assets from a register that may be years out of date. This audit follows those paths until a record is true, duplicated, or lost.
We pick a small set of live records — a customer, an asset, a work order, a part — and walk them through every system they touch. Timestamps, identifiers, and silent retries are written down. Overnight batch jobs are watched, not assumed.
Typical findings: two customer numbers for one site, assets that exist in the field app but not in the register, completed jobs that never raise a charge, and technicians who re-type data because the interface failed last Tuesday and nobody re-ran it.
The deliverable is a data-flow map with owners, a list of broken or delayed interfaces, and the operational workarounds crews have invented. IT and operations sit in the same findings session so the map is not filed as an IT-only document.
What the engagement includes
- End-to-end tracing of a live record set
- Batch job and interface timing review
- Identifier and duplicate analysis
- Joint IT and operations findings session
